Founded in February 1972, the Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Bangladesh. The airline has its main hub at Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka and secondary hub at Shah Amanat International Airport,
Chittagong & Osmani International Airport, Sylhet. It offers both passenger & cargo services to domestic & international destinations within Asia & Europe. At present the airline flies to 16 countries and has air service agreements with 42 countries. The airline fleet comprises 4 777-300Er, 2 777-200ER, 4 737-800, and 2 DASH-8 aircraft.
Economy Class Passengers travelling in Economy Class can carry up to 2 pieces of checked baggage. However, the weight of each bag must not exceed 20 Kgs.
- All adult passengers can carry 1 piece of carry-on baggage and 1 personal item on-board. However, the carry-on baggage must not weigh more than 7 Kgs.
- 1 piece of checked baggage is allowed for infants, which should not weigh more than 10 Kgs. Also 1 collapsible stroller/carrycot/infant car seat is allowed, depending on the availability of space.
Business Class In Business Class, passengers can carry up to 2 pieces of checked baggage. However, the weight of each bag must not exceed 30 Kgs.
- Passengers can carry 1 piece of carry-on baggage and 1 personal item. However, the bag should not weigh more than 10 Kgs.
- 1 piece of checked baggage is allowed for infants, which not weigh more than 10 Kgs. Also 1 collapsible stroller/carrycot/infant car seat is allowed depending on the availability of space.
