Wisconsin State Capitol
The 100 year old Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin, houses the Wisconsin Legislature, the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor. It is the tallest building in the city and is known for its remarkable architecture. It was made using 43 types of stone from six countries (including France, Italy, Greece, Algeria and Germany) and eight American states. Its dome is topped with a 1920 AD statue called ‘Wisconsin’, whose left hand holds a globe surmounted by an eagle and her outstretched right hand symbolizes the state motto, ‘Forward.’
