The Okefenokee Swamp

Also known as the "Land of the Quaking Earth", the Okefenokee Swamp is an area of swampland in southern Georgia. Covering more than 770 sq. miles of area, this swamp is a maze of cypress swamps, watercourses, and swamp grassland. The main feature is the "floating islands" quaking under foot but supporting entire forests. The Okefenokee Swamp houses several endangered species and is also home to around 10,000 alligators.
