West Side Market is Cleveland’s oldest publicly owned market. It was once an open air marketplace on a donated piece of land in 1840 that has evolved over the years to support more than 100 vendors and thousands of buyers now. Emblematic of its stellar rise, a Classical Byzantine structure called West Side Market building with an interior concourse and a 137-foot clock tower was constructed in the market premises in 1912.


Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Founded in 1882, and now one of the most popular year-round attractions in Ohio, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is nearly half the fun in Cleveland. It has one of the largest collections of primates in North America, and is best known for its Monkey Island in which several monkeys are kept without cages or walls. Other attractions here include African Savanna, the Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building, the RainForest, and Waterfowl Lake.
