Durga Sagar
Locally known as Madhabpasha Dighi, Durga Sagar is the biggest pond in southern Bangladesh. The pond is spread in total area of around 2500 hectares. Durga Sagar flows about 11 kilometers away from the city. In the middle of thhis lake, there is a small island as well. One can reach at this lake by taking bus from Barisal.
Guthia Mosque
Also named as the Baitul Aman Jame Masjid Complex, Guthia Mosque is a mosque complex located in an area of around 14 acres. The complex features a mosque, a graveyard, a huge Eidgah, a Madrasa, three lakes, and an orphanage. The mosque boasts 20 domes. The three lakes surrounding the surrounding the shrine reflect the structure from three different angles. Beautiful gardens are spread around the Guthia Mosque and the lakes.

It is an evergreen mangrove forest located on the eastern end of the beach of Kuakata. One can also reach Sunderban by about one hour of speedboat ride from Gangavati Reserved Forest. The forest is full of natural beauty and gripping landscape. The prime attraction of Gangavati Reserved Forest is Gongamotir Lake.

An excellent place to visit for nature lovers, Horinghata is replete with natural beauty and scores of deer. If lucky, one can also spot a Royal Bengal tiger here. One can drive from Barisal to reach Horinghata. Horinghata is located at a distance of about 80 kilometers from Barisal.
