One of the most beautiful villages in Chios, Pyrgi Village is located about 24 kilometers west of the main town of the island. The village has maintained its traditional architecture as it is also named as 'painted village' because of the fine decoration of its houses with white and grey geometrical shapes that decorate the facades. Tourists can explore stone-paved streets, unique architecture, and superb churches here at Pyrgi Village.
Located at a distance of around 5 kilometers south of Chios Town, Karfas Beach is the largest tourist resort on the island. It remains filled with tourists in summers. The beach features clear waters and fine sand. Karfas Beach offers tourist facilities such as umbrellas, sun beds, and water sports equipment on rent. There are night clubs, cafes, bars, restaurants, inns, and hotels located close to the beach.
