Chandigarh Vacation Packages: Affordable and Exciting Adventures Await!

The capital of north Indian states of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh is a city and union territory famous as one of the greenest cities in India. It is the first planned city of the post-Independent India. Chandigarh is located in the foothills of the Shivalik range of the Himalayas and is known to be considerably well-organized. Because of its high altitude, the climate of the city remains favorable for tourism all round the year. Chandigarh offers open spaces providing natural respite from its concrete buildings. It is an excellent city for visiting outdoor attractions such as lake, parks, and gardens.
    Places of Interest in Chandigarh
    Rock Garden
Also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden, Rock Garden is a sprawling maze-like park laid out like a fantasy land, boasting narrow corridors, bridges, amphitheaters, a magnificent waterfall, staircases, and ethnic market at the end. The park is populated by unusual animal and human figures made by using recycled junk items like wire, bangles, tiles, and bottles.
    Zakir Hussain Rose Garden
Spread across an area of around 30 acres, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is the largest botanical garden in Asia. The park is dedicated to roses and is named after the former president of India, Zakir Hussain. Apart from roses, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden also boasts a number of medicinal herbs.
    Sukhna Lake
An excellent place for a family outing, Sukhna Lake is an artificial water body where tourists can go paddle boating or enjoy the view while strolling along its promenade. There are several gardens and playgrounds surrounding the lake. Sukhna Lake also draws migratory birds such as storks and Siberian cranes during winters.
