Founded by a mining company, the neighborhood of Copper Cliff lies in the western part of Sudbury. Explore the relics of city’s first settlers at the Copper Cliff Museum. Moving south in the area will take you to the Fielding Bird Sanctuary located close to Kelley Lake. There is also an ice arena and Ski Hill.
Located southwest of downtown area, the neighborhood of Gatchell houses the Queens Athletic Park and Gatchell indoor swimming pool. The recently developed Trans-Canada Trail offers a lot of walking and hiking areas running along the Lake.
