    Located in heart of Punta Arenas Plaza Munoz Gamero is the epicenter of all business activities in town. Here you will find Ferdinand Magellan bronze sculpture that was gifted to the city by wool czar Jose Menendez.
    Housing a lot of native Indians, the neighborhood of Magellan is a peaceful little plaza whose streets are filled with mature cypress trees and other regional trees and various magnificent mansions and edifices. The visitor center gazebo is located in this area. Around the plaza many vendors sell handmade crafts and souvenirs.
    Located north of Magellan, the area of Avenida Colon is home to many excellent structures like the Teatro Municipal, designed by the French architect Numa Maye. The harbor area also offers a towering hotel and a casino. Along the seafront wide walkway and boulevard are ideal for a leisurely evening stroll.
