The Asian Art Museum was opened in the year 1996 & is amongst the most significant museums in the city of San Francisco. It holds private collection of Avery Brundage (an art collector). A part of his collection was offered by him at the museum's opening & rest was added as a legacy after his death in the year 1975. The collection of the museum comprises of sculptures, paintings, ceramics, bronzes, jade carvings, & architectural fragments from Korea, Japan, India, China, Iran, & other Asian cultures.

Chinatown
