Grand Palace

This grand temple is home to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, a 45-meter-long and 15-meter-high statue that is decorated with numerous precious stones.

Wat Arun

A token of 18th century armed conflict between Thailand and Burma, Wat Arun is a temple that was built after the city had fallen to the Burmese and was razed to the ground. The commander of Thai forces, General Taksin vowed to defeat the invaders and rebuild a temple there.
