Beaches

Nice has four miles of sandy beaches for visitors to enjoy. Public beaches give you an authentic experience where you can relax with the locals and people watch. La Reserve is flooded with locals who come here to dive and unwind. The Coco beach is another small gem which gets attracts the local crowd and has shower facility along with one eatery. The shore is lined with luxury resorts which have private beaches, like the Castel Beach which is far from the crowds and offers an exclusive experience. The Castle Beach restaurant also offers great service.

Promenade Des Anglais

Promenade Des Anglais or the Englishmen’s Promenade is the main waterfront promenade of Nice and a landmark in itself. The 7-km stretch is a popular tourist attraction and is lined with cycling paths, walking paths and lounge chairs for visitors to enjoy the panoramic view of the Baie de Anges, or Bay of the Angels. Several bars and eateries can be found along the promenade in addition to sights like Hotel Negresco, Villa Massena, and Phoenix Park, among others.

Matisse Museum

The Matisse Museum, locally known as the Musee Matisse is located on Cimiez hill. Nice has lured many artists like Henry Matisse, Jack Vettriano and Renoir who lived and created art here. The vast collection includes 68 paintings, 56 sculptures and 218 drawings by Matisse along with many temporary exhibitions by international artists. The Matisse Museum is a complete entertainment venue where several conferences, concerts and screenings are also hosted.
