The Durst-Taylor Historic House and Gardens is a museum. The house is a wooden structure and the second oldest building in the city. Located in its premises are heirloom gardens, a sugarcane mill, chicken coop, blacksmith shop, and a fully functioning smokehouse. The Durst-Taylor Historic House and Gardens holds annual Old-Fashioned Sweet Tooth Sugarcane event on second Saturday in the month of January.
