Delaware, one of the Mid-Atlantic States located in the Northeast mega polis region of the United States, is bordered to the west and south by Maryland, to the north by Pennsylvania, and to the northeast by New Jersey. Located in Wilmington, the Hagley Museum includes the site of the original du Pont gunpowder mills, as well as gardens and an estate. Eleutherian Mills, the first du Pont family home, was constructed by E.I. du Pont in the year 1803 and is located on the grounds of the structure. The library here includes collections related to business and technology, varying from historical papers from 18th century to contemporary times.
Bradywine Creek State Park, spread in an area of about 933 acres replete with the beauty of nature, is a significant abode for birds and other wildlife. It is a beautiful park featuring a playground, walking trails, and loads of other attractions. It specializes in South and North America rare species.Visually impaired visitors can relish nature walk on the Sensory Trail.
Located in Wilmington, the Grand Opera House is in a restored Victorian theater with a cast-iron facade. Since its beginning, the theater has hosted Victorian melodramas, variety shows, operas, symphonies, burlesque, musical recitals, and vaudeville. Today, the focus of this opera house is the Classical concerts and dance. Various other entertainment opportunities are also presented in the Grand Opera House all round the year.
