Arkansas is a state located in the southern part of the United States of America. The assorted topography of the state varies from the mountainous areas of the Ozark and the Ouchita Mountains, which comprise the US Interior Highlands, to the eastern lowlands along the Mississippi River and the Arkansas Delta, and to the verdant forested area in the south known as the Arkansas Timberlands. Arkansas boasts a plethora of diverse regions that put forward residents and travel buffs a diversity of opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Hot Springs National Park features the hot springs in the Ouachita Mountains. These springs have long been a point of interest to people living in the region. Created in 1921, this park has nicely-built bathhouses which are still there in use at present in a number of forms. In addition, there are loads of other attractions within the park, including an observation tower.
Located in southwestern part of the state, Crater of Diamonds State Park is located at a short drive from Murfreesboro. This crater is the only remaining source of natural diamond in the United States of America that is open for the public. Over 70,000 diamonds, including the Wagner Diamond, have been found in this area since 1906. In the year 1972, this region became Arkansas state park. Moreover, this park also features a water playground and a museum.
The Clinton Presidential Center is located on the edge of the Arkansas River in Little Rock. This center serves as a presidential library and museum. It is also an occasional venue for local events. The structure of this building is meant to resemble a bridge. Metaphorically Clinton Presidential Center stands as bridge between the past and future.
