Founded in 2011, Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd. is a low-fare Japanese airline based in Tokyo. The airline serves 14 domestic and international destinations The airline has a fleet of 21 Airbus A320 aircraft that serve more than 20 countries including China, New Zealand, Indonesia and Macau, and several destinations in Japan. Jetstar Japan operates from its hubs- Narita International Airport (in Tokyo) and Kansai International Airport (in Osaka). Its frequent flyer programs are called JAL Mileage Bank and Qantas Frequent Flyer (the latter is applicable on all Jetstar-branded flights).
Economy Classes- Economy fare segment comes in two sub-variants- Starter Plus and Starter Max.
- Economy passengers get a carry-on baggage allowance of 7 kg.
- The airline allows its passengers to book their in-flight entertainment, choose their seats and to pre-book their meals and beverages for an extra fee.
- For passengers flying in Starter Plus fare segment, checked baggage allowance is 20 kgs. Further, the airline also offers its meals and snacks vouchers on certain flights and routes.
- For passengers flying in Starter Max fare segment, the airline allows a checked-in baggage allowance of 30 kg. Passengers also get meals and snacks vouchers, free seat selection and sometimes even a lounge access. The airline also lets the travelers to add their in-flight entertainment package.
- Business Class features a generous baggage allowance of 2 bags of total 14 kgs. Passengers also get to relax in extra-wide seats that also feature power-boards for charging laptops and cellphones.
