Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Providenciales, InterCaribbean Airways, Ltd. is a passenger airline based in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It offers scheduled domestic and regional services from its operating hub at Providenciales to 16 popular destinations in the Bahamas, Antigua, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. The airline has a fleet of 14 aircraft. InterCaribbean Airways is the first non-Jamaican airline to operate domestic flights between Kingston and Montego Bay in Jamaica - a remarkable first in over 50 years of Jamaica independence. The airline provides charter flights as well.
AmenitiesInterCaribbean Airways does not feature class of service but rather has 3 different fare segments that offer different amenities. These 3 segments are called Flex Fares, Best Fare, and Saver Fare.
- Flex Fares feature a flexible, refundable and changeable fare that is valid for 365 days and allows a passenger to change his travel to a future date at zero cost. This class also lets him get a 100% refund before flight, and $50 or $20 refund in case an international or a domestic flight respectively is missed.
- Best Fare is a non-refundable fare that is valid for 180 days and lets passengers choose their preferred seat. Available with certain restrictions, its levies a $50 change fees for any international flight change and $20 for a domestic flight change.
- Saver Fare is a non-refundable fare that passengers on a round-trip or those with a fixed travel date in near future can apply. It features preselection of seats. This class levies a $50 change fees for any international flight change and $20 for a domestic flight change.
- All 3 fare segments allow a maximum of 10 pounds of carry-on baggage allowance per passenger. The baggage should not measure more than 9-inch x 14-inch x 16-inch. The checked-in baggage allowance is limited at 70 pounds, and its linear dimensions must not be more than 62 linear inches.
