Carry On
Every passenger can carry one piece of carry-on luggage. The combined dimensions of carry-on luggage may not exceed 115 cm. The maximum allowable weight of carry-on luggage is 7 kg per piece.
Checked
Passengers traveling in International Business class or International Premium Economy or International Economy class can carry up to 2 pieces of luggage. Maximum weight allowed is 32kg per piece and dimensions must not exceed 158cm per piece. Passengers in Velocity Gold class can carry one extra piece of luggage (to the specification of the class they are travelling).
Excess
Virgin Australia charges excess baggage rates in the following three circumstances:
# Any additional piece of baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will be charged AUD $135 per piece.
# Any item of baggage that meets the free baggage allowance but exceeds the weight and/or size limitations will be charged AUD $135 per piece.
# Any additional piece of baggage that also exceeds the weight and/or size limitations will be charged AUD $270 per piece
