Air Tran allows only one carry-on and one personal item which doesn't exceed overall dimensions of 55 inches and fits in the overhead bin or the underneath the seat.

The charge for a second checked bag will be $10 when paid using Online Check-In or $20 when paid at the airport kiosks and ticket counter.
Excess
Air Tran charges additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and 80 inches are not accepted and an amount of $50 for each additional bag.
