This airline commenced its operations on September 1, 1981 and now it is the eighth largest regional airline in USA. The main hubs of Horizon Air are Oregon’s Portland International Airport and Sea Tac’s Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Horizon Air also has a secondary hub in Los Angeles International Airport.
Its sister carrier is known as Alaska Airlines and both the airlines are subsidiaries of the Alaska Air Group. Horizon Air has a sleek fleet of 55 airplanes, which include the Bombardier Q400 and the Bombardier CRJ700. This airline flies to over 52 cities across the United States, Canada and Mexico. It has also started a frequent flyer program known as Mileage Plan, which is very popular among its customers.
