Expensive destination 
3 I've lived in the Caribbean and after three visits to Jamaica, this last time to Negril, I am comfortable saying that NEGRIL is the most expensive over-rated destination in Jamaica. The food of sub-quality and over priced. It seems like everyone was focused on charging high prices and delivery low product or services. The one saving grace was my stay at Tensing Pen for the first 3 days. Tensing Pen has no phones or televisions. After the first day, I quickly grew accustomed to it and TOTALLY felt myself relax. Their continental breakfast was healthy with lots of fresh tropical fruits. The cottages are charming and well appointed. The hotel sits on a cliff so there's no beach walking but it's bearable when you take a dip in the cliff-side pool with the amazing ocean as a backdrop. Wow! Tensing Pen is top-class and the staff is better than most. I've also traveled to Ocho Rios [aka OCHI] and Montego Bay [aka MOBAY]; I preferred OCHI because my hotel was in the center of the city and reasonable shopping and eateries abound; prices were also reasonable; I scored great jewelry deals at the duty free shops.

5 It was an amazing trip and truley a romantic get away for my husband and I. The resort was clean, beautiful gardens, AC, flat screen TV, right on the beach and included a huge breakfast brunch which was slightly different every day. For b-fast we had omelettes, waffles, fresh fruit, breads, cakes, fresh greens, chicken, salt fish, bacon, and more! The staff was super friendly and very accomadating. We had everything we hoped for and more. The pool was gorgeous and was right next to the bar so you could swim up with a delicious daquiri always fresh and never from a mix. The restaurant served great food and the jerk shack was always good- plus the guy working it calls everyone "Hollywood" and sings Lionel Ritchie songs for you which was very entertaining.
