Formerly known as Chefoo, Yantai is a prefecture-level city located in northeastern Shandong Province in China. The city is located on the Bohai Strait and borders the cities of Weihai and Qingdao to the east and southwest respectively. Yantai is home to Yantai Raffles owning the largest ship building crane in the world. The city is famous for tasty fruits, especially apples, cherries, pears, and peaches. It is also the home of Changyu Wines. The seaside area of the city is home to a promenade for relaxing and walking.

Changyu Wine Culture Museum
Tracing the history of the winery from the 18th to 21st century, Changyu Wine Culture Museum is located at a formal site of Chongyu Wine Company. A display area of the museum showcases the development of wine through videos and pictures. There is an underground cellar in the museum that features more than 600 barrels. Inside the cellar, there is a bar where visitors can enjoy a range of wine.
Nanshan Park
An excellent place for enjoy an array of activities, Nanshan Park also boasts a zoo featuring Pandas and various other species of wildlife. Visitors can also climb a mountain positioned here. There is also a small lake offering boating and an amusement park with an assortment of roller coasters ranging from log ride to bumper cars.
Yantai Hill Park
Containing the former colonial consulates, Yantai Hill Park is a beautiful area with excellent architecture and a lighthouse on the top. In the park, there are exhibits and small museums as well. The park is quite serene and that’s something rare in China!
