Yakima Area Arboretum

It also features a herbarium and an array of gardens such as butterfly garden, rose garden, iris garden, dry land, perennial garden, and Xeriscape.
An apt place to visit for theater lovers, Capitol Theater is home to an array of productions presented by a number of local organizations including Town Hall, Yakima Symphony Orchestra, the Follies, and several local dance studios. Yakima Sportsman State Park
A state operated public recreation area, Yakima Sportsman State Park is a verdant area in an otherwise deserted region including 247 acres on a floodplain of the Yakima River. The park features a campground with utility sites, hiking trails, and facilities for picnicking. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and bird-watching in the park.
