The area consists of consists of Grand Bay Wetlands Management Area, which is an educational wildlife area, and Banks Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Banks Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a recreational and educational wildlife area. The Great Bay Wetland Education Center features a boardwalk, observation tower, and education rooms.
