Once an outpost of the United States Army, Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site includes a visitor's center with a bookstore, videos, exhibits, and self-guided tours of the fort grounds and outlying sites. The visit to this site marks the archeological remains of the fort's buildings. Visitors can also explore the nearby battlefields located within a five-mile radius of the visitor center and include significant trails.
