The capital and the most populous municipality of the US state of Utah, Salt Lake City is located in the northeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley surrounded by the Great Salt Lake to the northwest and the Oquirrh mountain range and steep Wasatch Range, on the southwestern and eastern borders respectively. State Capitol, located at the north end of the State Street on Capitol Hill, is a neo-classical domed building boasting the House of Representatives, Senate, and the Supreme Court of Utah. Liberty Park is the largest public park in Salt Lake City. The park, spread in an area of more than 80 acres, features a variety of recreational activities and is a lovely nature retreat with a pond, lush trees, sports areas, and a pool. It is also home to Tracy Aviary.
