Some star attractions here include a prototype of Lockheed P-38L Lightning (the original had first taken off in 1939), a Boeing B-29 Superfortress (famous for its 11 combat missions during the Second World War) and SR-71 Blackbird (the world’s fastest air-breathing manned aircraft).

California Citrus State Historic Park

Riverside’s California Citrus State Historic Park is an open-air museum that glorifies the city’s 145 year old citrus industry. It is modeled like an early 20th century city park and is home to an activity center, interpretive structure, an amphitheater, a picnic area, and an antique citrus grove farm. It is worth mentioning that some old trees here still produce high-quality fruits.

The University of California, Riverside Botanic Gardens

The University of California, Riverside Botanic Gardens are situated in the foothills of Box Springs Mountains in Riverside County. These iconic gardens consist of more than 3500 plant species from all corners of the world and are encircled by over 4 miles of trails encompassing different microclimatic zones and a hilly terrain. These gardens are also associated with more than 200 bird species, mammalian species, amphibians and reptiles.
