Repulse Bay, also known as Nuujaat, is the topmost region of the Arctic Circle in the central Nunavut. It is also the only North American community in the Arctic Circle. The area is accessible through flights of Calm Air and First Air from Winnipeg and Rankin Inlet. If you walk through the region you can see the beautiful amalgamation of the past and the present. There are several facilities available for the natives including - health centre, fire emergency, post office, schools, and college, community recreation area, community center, and more. The artisans of the area are quite famous for ivory, stone and bone work, and astonishing designs on clothes and jewelry. Travelers can enjoy lot of outdoor activities in the Repulse Bay and can indulge themselves in fishing, hunting, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, kayaking and many other activities.

The park also serves as a habitat for variety of animals and birds species like polar bear, fox, wolf, harp seals, snowy owls, ravens, snow geese, and rough-legged hawk. It is also advised to hire an expert local guide from Repulse Bay for visiting the national park.
