Donated to the city in 1893 by real estate baron Henry Phipps, Phipps Conservatory offers guests a range of experience among which the main feature is a 13-room Victorian glasshouse presenting something new for guests with every changing season. The attractions at Phipps Conservatory encompass perennial, Japanese, children's, and aquatic theme gardens.
Located on the north bank of the Allegheny River, Carnegie Science Center is a huge science center offering more than 250 hands-on exhibits related to science and technology. Subjects that are dealt are socio-cultural aspects of nutrition, the use of energy, and the industrial processing methods. Carnegie Science Center also puts on show Pacific Coral Reef Aquarium, IMAX Theater, Henry Buhl Jr. Planetarium and Observatory, Miniature Railroad and Village, and the USS Requin (a World War II submarine).
Andy Warhol Museum offers a collection of Pittsburgh's most famous artist and American Pop Art pioneer- Andy Warhol. The items put on display in this museum cover almost all facets of the artist's prolific career as a painter, stage designer, filmmaker, author, record producer, celebrity-gazer, and magazine publisher.
