A beautiful wide beach in Oxnard, Oxnard State Beach and Park features fine, white sand and is particularly lovely when wildflowers are blooming in the enclosing dunes. There are several tall palms that allow tourists to experience an area that is quintessential California. There are lots of barbecues, picnic tables, stretches of lawns, and paved pathways here at Oxnard State Beach and Park.
Carnegie Art Museum:
One of the most popular tourist attractions in Oxnard, Carnegie Art Museum is dedicated to displaying Californian artwork including a plethora of paintings by renowned artists from the region. Carnegie Art Museum exhibits span from the traditional to the modern. The museum is home to a comprehensive collection of photographs by Hollywood famed photographer George Hurrell.
Channel Islands Harbor:
A gateway to picturesque Channel Islands, Channel Islands Harbor is a fun destination on its own as well. Silver Strand Beach:
Considered as the best surfing beach in the city, Silver Strand Beach is a mile-long sandy beach located between Port Hueneme and Channel Islands Harbor. There are restrooms and lifeguards here during the summer. At the north there is a scenic viewing platform at the entrance of to the Channel Islands Harbor. This viewing platform is a great spot to catch sight of the local marine life, including harbor seals and dolphins.
