The Durham Museum was originally one of the busiest railway stations in the country. It is an imposing museum displaying the history of the local region. The prime attractions of this zoo include the Lied Jungle, the largest indoor rainforest in North America, and the Dome Desert, which is known for being the largest indoor desert around the globe. The Kingdom of the Night exhibit is the largest nocturnal exhibit of its kind in the world. It makes visitors have the close-up look at the creatures from beavers to bats and other animals of the dark. This lovely zoo is also home to the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium where the visitors can enjoy walking through a 70-foot-long shark tunnel.
Largest art museum in Nebraska, Joslyn Art Museum was a gift to the natives of Omaha from Sarah Joslyn in order to commemorate George, her husband. Joslyn Art Museum features a remarkable collection of Greek pottery and Baroque art and is also famous for its assortment of works by Karl Bodmer, Henry Inman, Alfred Jacob Miller, and Charles Bird King.
