A little further away from here is situated the iconic Great Florida Birding Trail, a 2000 mile long hotspot of endangered wetland birds.
Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area is a Florida State Park located on a barrier island on Florida's southwest coast near Naples. It is situated between the Cocohatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico, and is home to a wide range of native flora and fauna. It offers activities like fishing, sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, boating and nature viewing besides adventure sports like scuba diving, snorkeling and kayaking.
