The largest city in the world situated above Arctic Circle is Murmansk in Russia. The city is home to one of the largest ice-free sea ports in the country. This part of the country played a significant role during World War II as a trade link with the Allies. Though major part of the city was destroyed during the war but was restored in early 1950s. However the major expansion of the city happened in between 1970s-early 1980s. Despite being young here are several attractions which are worth visiting including Pyat Uglov Square ( Five Corners), Lenina Avenue, Semyonovskoe Lake, Murmansk oceanarium, and more.

Lenin - Nuclear Icebreaker is a landmark to the city and is a must see attractions in Murmansk. The ship has not be renovated since its construction and visitors get to see the original construction of the vessel. At present it is used as a museum, conference venue, and a heritage site. Anyone is not permitted to wander all alone within the ship.
