Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery includes a wide range of nationally significant archeological material and art works.

Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) :
One of the most talked-about attractions in Hobart, Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is the provocative private collection of modern art and antiquities. This museum is housed underground. MONA offers interactive interpretation through portable touch screen devices. The gallery in the museum displays works ranging from an Egyptian sarcophagus to a machine that converts food into brown goo.

Salamanca Market:
An excellent place to visit for shopaholics, Salamanca Market is one of the most popular attractions in Salamanca Place in Hobart. In the market, over 300 vendors sell everything from jewelry to handcrafted woodwork, to glassware, ceramics, and fresh vegetables and fruits. The ambiance is enhanced by the street musicians.
