Cairns Vacation Packages: Affordable and Exciting Adventures Await!

Cairns is located on the east coast of Far North Queensland in Australia. It is a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Most visitors prefer to use this Australian city as a take-off point to the trio of these scenic places but for those who’d prefer to enjoy a quiet seafront public walk alongside lanes studded by cafes, restaurants and water-themed attractions, this place looks straight out of a Hollywood flick.
Places of Interest in Cairns
Cairns Esplanade
Equally serene and scenic, Cairns Esplanade is a seafront strip that seems at its glorious best during mornings and evenings. Nearby parks, lagoons, and an abundant birdlife only adds to its charm.
Cairns Wildlife Dome
Cairns Wildlife Dome is a wildlife exhibit under a 20 m high glass dome over a replicated rainforest environment where parrots, cockatoos, and lorikeets fly freely around the visitors. Animals like koalas, frogmouths, kookaburras, rainforest wallabies, turtles and pythons also form the order of the day.
Green Island National Park
Green Island National Park is a tropical island less than an hour’s drive from Cairns. It is situated in the Great Barrier Reef and is known for sapphire blue waters, powdery white sand and coral reefs. While you can pursue snorkeling and scuba diving here, a visit to the nearby Michaelmas Cay to see a vast number of seabirds is also recommended.
