Brazzaville Vacation Packages: Affordable and Exciting Adventures Await!

The capital and the largest city in the Republic of Congo, Brazzaville is located on the Congo River. The city was founded by a Franco-Italian traveler Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza and still retains much of its French heritage. Brazzaville is an excellent cultural crossroads where intellectual activity and artistic activity flourish. It is a historical city and an artistic hub with a number of cultural assets including a number of old cathedrals boasting intricate architecture.
    Places of Interest in Brazzaville
    Basilique St. Anne
One of the most striking sights in the city, Basilique St. Anne was built in 1949 by French architect Roger Erell. The most remarkable feature of the church is its pointed arch that is inspired by the nation’s tradition of spearheading. There is a green tile roof on the church that invokes the equatorial environment. The wrought-iron balustrade in the interior of the church was inspired by pre-colonial weapons and with a lot of tinted glass blades, the ceiling shines magnificently.
    Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
Located in proximity to Basilique St. Anne, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is the oldest religious institution in Brazzaville. The exterior of the cathedral is well-preserved in the traditional colonial style. Cathedral of the Sacred Heart also offers spectacular views of Kinshasa and Brazzaville.
    Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza Memorial
Located next to the former United States Embassy, Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza Memorial is built in the memory of Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza. There is a statue of the explorer towering to a height of 6 meters.
