This beautiful park includes two kettle lakes, formed by the buried ice in the last glacier of the total area that was left behind. Chenango Valley State Park is outstanding for birding, featuring warblers, ducks, woodpeckers, and herons. Fishing buffs can find bass, bullhead, perch, and trout in Chenango Lake. Tourists can also explore hiking trails, ice skating, sledging, cross-country skiing and an 18-hole golf course. On the park grounds, there are 216 campsites and 24 cabins.
