Fort McHenry National Monument
This is where you can touch a glorious part of American history. In 1812 AD, a thousand dauntless American soldiers turned the course of history by defending their port city at Fort McHenry despite a 25-hour long barrage of bombings by British forces. Fort McHenry National Monument is keeping the reminiscience of that historical event alive by paintings and exhibits. You are advised to take a walk to the fort and absorb the ambience that seems to be like none else. Children can have even more fun by being a Junior Ranger and get awarded with a certificate. The Museum is open all year round, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
