Asahikawa Vacation Packages: Affordable and Exciting Adventures Await!

Asahikawa is the second-largest city on the volcanic island of Hokkaido, Japan. The city is surrounded by hills and offers an endearing landscape of 130 rivers and streams and around 740 bridges. Aashikawa is also a touchdown point for visitors going to the nearby Daisetsuzan Mountain Range and the picturesque Biei-Furano area. The city receives the best snowfall in the country, and celebrates Asahikawa Winter Festival in the month of February. The festival showcases ice sculptures from all corners of the world.
Places of Interest in Aashikawa
Romantic Road
Romantic Road offers one of the most beautiful landscapes of natural scenery in the Land of Rising Sun. The road is known so because of the trees that lineup on either side of the street. Especially during the summers, the trees form a ‘green tunnel’ over the road and greatly diminish the sun’s blaze to make the ride more than just pleasant.
Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum
Sake is a traditional Japanese rice wine. Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum is a 340 years old, award-winning Sake brewery in Asahikawa that displays historical scrolls, artifacts and older brewing tools related to the brewing of this wine. Visitors here can enjoy a cup of Sake wine for free.
Asahiyama Zoo
Asahiyama Zoo is the second most visited zoo in Japan. Its attractions include Amur tigers, spotted seals, flamingos, and red pandas among others. Also, do not miss out seeing polar bears underwater, seals, and the penguins’ march through a glass tunnel all the way to the pool.
