The city of Acapulco is situated in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, and is the largest beach city in the country. Acapulco is a major seaport used for shipping and for cruise between Panama and San Francisco. The city is quite famous for its beaches and attracts tourists from almost every corner of the world. Places of Interest in Acapulco
Playa Icacos is one of the largest beaches in Acapulco. It also serves as a home to CICI Recreation Area which is well known for offering various water sports such as sailing, motor boating, parasailing and water skiing. The beach is relatively less crowded than other beaches in the region.
Barra Vieja Beach
Barra Vieja Beach is mostly visited by vacationers. It takes about an hour drive to reach Barra Vieja Beach from Acapulco. It is a great place for horseback riding and getting massages on the beach.
