Morelia (also known as Valladolid from 1545 to 1828 AD) is a historic city,
capital and municipality of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. It is
in the Guayangareo Valley and is situated on the banks of Rio Grande de
Morelia river between Mexico City and Guadalajara. This mid-16th
century city was later a Colonial Spanish stronghold. A good way to start
exploring Morelia goes through its the Plaza de los Martires, a city square
