    Tetlin (also known as Tee??y in Upper Tanana Athabascan language) is a Census Designated Place in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska, United States. Its coordinates are 63°8?16?N 142°31?28?W and it is located along the Tetlin River in the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge. It is spread across 72 square miles, out of which 70.4 square miles is land and remaining is water.

    Established in 1980 and now spread across 730000 acres, the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge is a delightful sum of native wildlife dwelling in a panoramic landscape consisting of snowcapped mountains, glacier-fed rivers, forests, tundra and wetlands. It is also a hotbed of a large variety of fish and wild animals (the latter primarily including wolves, grizzly, bears and caribou). The Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge is home to more than 185 species of birds and is at its scenic best during April and June as it hosts an intermediary stop of migratory route for birds traveling from Canada.
