The King Faisal Mosque is a modern architectural gem. This mammoth mosque was opened in 1987 and is a gift from the Saudi Arabian King, Faisal. It has a capacity of 15,000 people with separate prayer rooms for men and women. The library with a huge collection of Islamic books is also a highlight of this mosque.
Al-Mahattah-Museum is an erstwhile airport, the first in the gulf region. It was used as a staging post for commercial flights between India and Britain during the pre independence days.
