It is named after Mary, mother of Jesus. You should visit it for its 12 magnificent stained glass windows, equally distributed on north and south sides. These windows were made in Germany in 1890 and were installed in phases until 1910.

Battleship Memorial Park is home to an iconic duo of a battleship (USS Alabama) and a submarine (USS Drum) that had served the nation during the Second World War. Mardi Gras in Mobile is the oldest annual Carnival celebration in the United States, started in 1703.
