Among the most renowned exhibits here is the ‘Jemma Head’, which is a terra-cota human head and part of the Nok culture. The exhibit derives its name from the Jema'a village, where the artefact was found.

The National Arts Theater is the cultural center of Lagos. The theater opened its doors in 1977 and features rooms and halls built for many cultural activities and events in the state of Lagos.
