    Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge
    A United State Wildlife Refuge in the Kodiak Archipelago in southwest Alaska, Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge includes Uganik Island, two-thirds of Kodiak Island, all of Ban Island in the archipelago, and the Red Peaks area of Afognak Island. This refuge boasts around 100 streams and seven major rivers. It is a home to all the five species of Pacific Ocean salmon, Dolly Varden, steelhead, and numerous other fish species. Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge is also a nestling ground for 250 species of bird. The refuge is home to six species of mammals including Kodiak brown bear, river otter, tundra vole, ermine, red fox, and little brown bat.
