Dalton Freight Depot & Visitors Center should be the first stopover while on a vacation in Dalton. This Southern Railways Freight Depot was built in 1911 and revamped in 2009.
The General Joseph E. Johnston Statue is also a landmark in the city. Constructed in 1912 to pay homage to the general, it is the only outdoor statue of any army personnel.
