The Royal Walls of Ceuta

Ceuta has been a naval base for centuries, since the Roman era. The Royal Walls are a line of fortification in the city which can be traced back to 962 AD. These walls remain largely intact today and are listed as Spanish Property of Cultural Interest. Royal walls consist of bastions and visitors will find here several information boards in English. The Museo de los Muralles Reales also lies within the walls. The museum is a visual treat with its display of temporary art exhibitions.

Parque Maritimo del Mediterraneo

A leisure complex spread across 55,000 m², the maritime park is an ideal spot for families especially in the summer. Opened in 1995, the park was designed by architect and artist Cesar Manrique. Parque Maritimo del Mediterraneo comprises three artificial lakes of salt water, sprawling gardens, ornamental waterfalls, and sunbathing areas. A complete entertainment venue, the park houses a stage for concerts and shows in addition to many bars, eateries, a casino, and a nightclub.

House of the Dragons

Locally known as Casa de Los Dragones, the House of Dragons is an exemplary example of eclectic architecture. Located on Plaza de los Reyes, the house is a popular landmark in Ceuta. The iconic 19th century structure is famous for its Moorish arches, intricate balconies, polished brick facades, and four beautiful dragons.

The best time to take flights to Ceuta is January when the weather is pleasant. However, this is also the busiest time of the year, in order to avoid crowds, travelers can also visit in February and April.
