The busiest international airport in Romania, Henri Coanda International Airport serves the city of Bucharest. It is located about 16 kilometers north of Bucharest's city center. Operated by The National Company "Bucharest Airports" S.A., the airport serves as a hub for TAROM the country's national airline and serves as a base of operations for low-cost airlines Blue Air, Ryanair and Wizz Air. Henri Coanda International Airport flights fly to the destinations such as Paris, London, Rome, Moscow, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Athens, and more.
Parking area is available at the ground floor of the Arrival Terminal. Visitors can also park their vehicle for long term at this parking area.
Means of Transportation
Gara de Nord, a direct train service to the main railway station, is
available from the Airport railway station, around 900 meters from the
airport. Various shuttle buses are available to access this station.
The airport is connected to the public transport company RATB system. The
783 route provides express bus service to the city center while 780 route
provides express bus service to Gara de Nord and Gara Basarab railway
stations in Bucharest.
Taxi rank is located outside the arrivals terminal. In addition, there is a
Taxi station on the ground floor of the Arrivals Terminal, where taxis
authorized by the airport are available.
Car rental counters are located between the arrival and departure
terminals. Car rental companies present at the airport include Avis,
Autonomous, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, SixT, and Enterprise.
