Formally named as Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, Adnan Menderes Airport is an international airport that serves Izmir and most of the surrounding province in Turkey. The airport is located about 18 kilometers southwest of the city center in the Gaziemir district. Adnan Menderes Airport is owned by General Directorate of State Airports of Turkey (DHMI) and is operated by TAV Airports. the airport serves as a hub for Pegasus Airlines, Izair, and SunExpress. Adnan Menderes Airport flights fly to the destinations including London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hannover, and more.

Adnan Menderes Airport can be reached from Izmir via 200, 202 or 204 ESHOT buses.
Izban commuter rail trains stop at the Airport Station at interval of every 10 mins at peak hours and 20 mins at off peak hours. Turkish State Railways’ intercity trains also stop at the Airport Station.
